Hania/Chania. 
Nice always sunny Crete island. One of the few thousand greek islands.

The prettiest city on Crete from my point of view. Very colorful and alive.
You walk on the street and in between modern houses suddenly some ruins, rooms, passes below the ground level. Somebody lived here long-long time ago, maybe was fishing for living. It's strange and thrilling at the same time to be there.


 

Here are some of my very first photographs from my new (actually, used) Nikon d80. I just received the camera last week, and these are pictures taken during a weekend trip to San Diego.



Constructive criticism wanted! I hadn't used an SLR in ages, and I'm using the Manual mode in the camera. I'm still learning what are the best aperatures and shutter speeds for what lighting.

These colors are completely unadjusted in Photoshop (not that there's anything wrong with that).

And Nikon is out with their new D90 that shoots video!

Does anyone else follow Chase Jarvis's work at all? Just wondering ^_^;

The Dominican Republic is a nation located in the Caribbean region on the island of Hispaniola. Part of the Greater Antilles archipelago, Hispaniola lies west of Puerto Rico and east of Cuba and Jamaica. Its western third is the nation of Haiti, making Hispaniola one of two Caribbean islands that are occupied by two countries, Saint Martin being the other.
